As a keen Sports enthusiast and participant, Ian Lenehan is well aware of the physical challenges of cycling. Cycling is considered a lower impact sport than many running based sports, however, it too places the body under stresses that can result in misalignment or injury.

Incorrect foot positioning on the pedals is a common cause of loss of power and cyclists may experience pain in the feet, shin, knee, pelvis and hips.

Achieving correct foot placement and stability will improve power and help to prevent many problems occurring and alleviate referral pain while obtaining optimal support. However, if pain or injury does occur a full assessment process of your bike, shoe and foot function, will identify the causes of pain an injury and enable us to prescribe the correct treatment. (You will need to bring in your bike and undertake a review on a turbo trainer)
